Duolog wins ITAG Industry Award
Galway, Ireland, Nov 14, 2008: Duolog Technologies, a leading provider of EDA software to the semiconductor design industry, has won the IT Research and Development award at the ITAG industry awards, 2008. The award was presented at a black-tie event at the Hotel Meyrick, Galway, on November 14th.
ITAG is an Information Technology industry association in the West of Ireland, representing both multinational and indigenous Irish companies. The ITAG industry awards provide an opportunity to recognize some of the leading technology companies and individuals in the region. The IT Research and Development award recognises the vital role that R&D plays as the engine of the IT industry, ensuring the continued success and growth of the sector. This award is presented to individuals or teams who have made an innovation breakthrough or have otherwise made an invaluable contribution to IT research and development.
Duolog received the award in recognition of its highly successful transition from an Intellectual Property and design services company to a leading provider of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to the semiconductor industry. Duolog’s award-winning tools automate and formalise vital elements of the semiconductor design process, resulting in improved quality, reduced costs and faster time-to-market for its customers.
“We are delighted to receive this award”, said Duolog’s CTO, Dave Murray, speaking after the awards ceremony. “Our challenge over the past few years has been to deliver high-value solutions to our customers by automating key bottlenecks in their chip design flows. This innovative approach has allowed us to remain competitive in an increasingly globalised IT industry. Our R&D activity is as important today as it was in the past as we must continue to innovate to further increase the value of our offering.”
